If we raise $10,000 we can train and hire 5 new Coach Mentors, like Will Inirio, pictured above, who leads the Grade 4 boys Storm team, a team he used to be part of when he was a Lawrence youth from 2009-2013.

We need coaches to lead our expanding teams, leagues and camps, impacting 1,000 Lawrence kids in 2019. Because of this, a top priority is to connect and employ 5 new college-age students who have grown up in our programs, like former Lawrence Family Development Charter School and Central Catholic graduate, William Inirio. As mentioned above, Will is Coach-Mentor, or head coach, of the Lawrence Storm. Now, with a full season of successful tutelage under his belt and a maxed-out roster of 3rd & 4th grade boys, Will is looking forward to his continued role this winter, which includes helping his players on Wednesday nights with their homework. In addition to earning a steady paycheck, Will feels empowered serving as a role model in his community, while completing his associate's degree at Northern Essex Community College.

"Coaching kids is great because I get to inspire them to work hard and become someone better in the future. I am so grateful to Beyond Soccer for this opportunity that has altered my path in so many positive ways."

Our Youth Jobs Program, including its related sports-based youth development trainings, financial literacy workshops and career planning benefits, costs us $40,000 annually. The program advantages are magnified because it is mission driven and part of our long-term, year-round investment model, and that is why we need YOU!

Will Inirio is just one example of the way our leadership-through-sports focus helps young people discover and pursue their educational, personal and career goals. By supporting this priority, we can inspire the next generation of leaders, and further, connect more elementary and middle school youth to our teams, leagues, camps, plus other, important wraparound health, academic and leadership experiences.
